Here you can find some more information about me and my work at Bridgewater College. I am so lucky that I get to teach such fascinating courses such as ecology and biology of fishes and animal behavior! Plus, evolution cuts across all biology and we spend a full semester exploring how evolution works, what patterns it creates in the natural world, and how fast those patterns change.

Recently a student asked me “who cares?” Great question! Understanding how organisms have evolved in the past and how they are related to each other can impact conservation and natural resource management, discovery of new treatments for human diseases, and innovations in agricultural science. Each of these fields affects our lives directly and each depends in part on understanding the influence of evolutionary processes on living organisms!
